Sauble Beach Portrait Photographer

We’re headed to the BEACH!

For the Labour Day long weekend (September 2-5, 2011), we’ve got a photoshoot booked and we’ve decided to open it up for other couples and families to have their portraits taken while we’re there!

If you’re interested in casual, fun beach style portraits, contact us at waterstonephoto@gmail.com (or use the link above). Book a session with us for that weekend, AND if you find another family and/or couple who also books a session, you both save 10% off any of our portrait bundles!

Dolly - Kitchener Pet Photographer

“Dolly” came to our house on April 20 as a foster cat. A close friend of mine had found her in a tree, scared and hungry with matted fur. Everyone in her home was allergic to cats, which is why “Dolly” came to live with me.

What a sweetheart! We have a soft spot for animals, especially cats, and we took a liking to this kitty right away. Thankfully within the week she had a new owner lined up for the following week.

These are just a few images I captured of “Dolly” during her time with us. I’m sure she and her new owner Laura will get along great!

Photowalk - McLean’s Auto Wreckers

Over the past weekend, I joined my photography club for an outing to McLean’s Auto Wreckers. An incredibly unique spot, there are acres upon acres of junked cars of almost every decade. They are mostly sorted into areas with plenty of pathways and never-ending things to see with your camera.

The morning we arrived it was a bright, sunny day with not a cloud in the sky. Sometimes this is a great thing… but when photographing shiny (but mostly rusty!) chrome, and windshields (mostly cracked!), it presents a challenge!

I got on my new rainboots and headed right in. I found a quiet spot, set up my tripod and started planning shots in my head. I was in awe at the quietness… despite the chirping birds.

The first person to discover my scouted spot was John, and he was curious what so many photographers were doing on the property. No, we’re not National Geographic, just photo-enthusiasts out for a day! Stretching our photographic eyes and creativity. I then ran into another John, who was also on the hunt for a variety of car parts. They both said to me, separately, that McLean’s is “one of the last places” to find unique and hard-to-find parts & pieces for their collector cars.

It’s a gold mine for collectors & photographers alike :)

Richard & Mary Kaye - Kitchener Wedding Photographer

A few favourites from the day! It was a cold but beautiful winter day in New Hamburg, ON in a small country church where the bride and her maids prepared for the wedding. A few family photos taken at the church after the ceremony, then it was off to Castle Kilbride for additional family & bridal party pics! The winter sun faded fast and we stayed indoors for most of the day - thankfully, because of the cold!
With just a few minutes left on schedule, it was time to head into Kitchener at the Delta Hotel for the reception!

Tony, Chloe & Claire! A two-part photography session; children do not sit still very long, so I am more than happy to reschedule! :)
